Bit8 raises significant funding
Rockridge Investments becomes first external stakeholder in Bit8
The relatively new but highly successful gaming platform developer and supplier Bit8 has struck an investment deal with Rockridge Investments. Rockridge Investments involvement will add significant extra value to the already strong Bit8 product offering while enhancing the reach of the network of contacts in the online gaming industry.
The series A financing round which raised an undisclosed figure in the seven digit range is also the first external investment in Bit8. The company was founded in 2010 and was so far entirely financed privately by business angels and the co-founders. Bit8 were advised by Olga Finkel of WH Partners during the investment round.
“The involvement of Rockridge Investments as new investors in Bit8 shows confidence in our strategy and product”, said Angelo Dalli, CEO of Bit8. “This confidence is being shared by an increasingly large number of operators in the industry who are switching to the Bit8 platform and adopting our innovative solutions. Our vision for Bit8 is to create the industry’s most intelligent platform that gives operators a competitive edge with the use of artificial intelligence, superior bonus tools and a fresh approach towards backend solutions that impact the bottom line of operators positively. This investment round gives us additional resources that helps us implement this vision with a quicker time to market and allows us to be more flexible in launching new features that our clients want.”
Bit8 was created by a passionate group of individuals stemming from all areas of the gaming industry, from the developing side as well as operators, something which enabled the finished product to offer functionalities which no other platform or backend today can offer.
The Bit8 backend features a seamless common wallet integration, support for multiple game manufacturers and third party application providers. Unique features of the backend include inbuilt support for advanced data mining and business intelligence modules, together with an Artificial Intelligence rule engine system that enables the platform to learn and adapt automatically to the operators specific needs and operational circumstances. The intuitive user interface has a task oriented design that boosts productivity significantly.
